Le Phénomène Atmosphérique , 2011
Experimental Animation/ running time 9:00, HD Resolution, Colour
Phénomène Atmosphériques are phenomenological representations of weather panoramas with the aim to harness the Weather phenomena and to put viewers in a realm of pure experience. Painted animation will express general feel of weather formation such as Clouds, Participation, Rain, Hurricane, Thunder, Storm, Breezes, Monsoon, Winds.
Weather Series are inspired after the works of Olafur Eliasson and after his on site constructions of nature as well as the Light and Space Movement associated with figures such as Robert Irwin and James Turrellin Southern California during 1960 and 1970s. How we experience light space and colour. Weather Series is not an homage to these works but an attempt to continue to elaborate on what these artists did.
Boundless in nature often with obscured contours these works are moving from abstract referencing into experiential one.
The art "work" has nothing to do with the representational or non representational art (object/non-object), rather deals with how we "see" or experience object
